Hawks Handle Heat in Close Game

Welcome to the first edition of From Three!

This is my first attempt at sports writing, so thank you all for reading and feel free to leave any feedback you might have in the comment page. I want to build a community of basketball fans, so be sure to share your thoughts and spark discussions.

Before talking about this set of games, I would like to tell you about my vision for project. I love the game of basketball. I spend a lot of time watching the games and forming opinions on them. For this project, I want to be able to share those thoughts with you all. But more than than, I want to build a community of fans. A lot of times on social media we can see a lot of people being toxic, and in this community of fans we're going to promote positivity and have a respectful community that can discuss basketball in a civil way. With all of the housekeeping out of the way, let's talk about today's slate of games!

Hawks Hold Off Heat Late in the Game

This game was a game of back and forth run that eventually went down to wire, ending in a one point win for the Atlanta Hawks. Although Trae struggled for his standard throughout this game, ending with only 24 points on 6-14 shooting, he showed up when it really mattered. He was phenomenal at the end of this game, hitting shots and getting his teammates in situations to be successful. He even hit the game winning floater over the renown defender P.J. Tucker. On the hawks side, I want to show love to Onyeka Okongwu. Didn't have an amazing statistical game, but showed up with big time plays on offense and defense.

Jimmy Butler missed shot for the win

On the Heat's side, Tyler Herro had a great 24 point game with some uncharacteristic good defense at the end, but it wasn't enough as Deandre Hunter's defense on Jimmy Butler's final three wasn't able to go in for the Heat. Hopefully Kyle Lowry is able to come back next game as he is a huge part of this Heat team.

Bucks Roll Over Bulls

Simply put, this was a terrible game for the Chicago bulls. In this game, the only Bulls shot an abysmal 39%, with the only Bull to shot over 50% being Tony Bradley off the bench. They were able to steal a game from the superior Bucks team last game, and the Bucks shut down any optimism from Bulls fan that they might win this series. The Bucks had an unlikely hero in this game, with Grayson Allen coming off the bench and delivering them a 22 point game. At this point, the Bucks are looking past this series and ahead to their next matchup, one in which they hope Khris Middleton will be able to play in.
